British people feel like hats have almost the same importance as a 5 pm tea. The upper-class Brits mostly have a sophisticated taste in clothes, and therefore, they make sure to add fashionable accessories but tend to dress traditionally.
One of the important details of this traditional heritage is undoubtedly hats.
A crucial royal rule is that the members of the family must wear hats at all festive events, that are always decorated specially and unique, with very accentuated details, mostly in the form of floral arrangements and feathers.
The Queen has recently turned 94, and therefore she probably has a big hat collection. As the media learns, Her Majesty is in possession of between 40 and 50 differently designed hats. Even her late crooner, Phillip Somerville, didn’t know the exact number.
