San Francisco native Eric Luttrell has already had quite the 2019, beginning his North American headline tour and releasing his debut solo album “Into Clouds”.
In his debut album release, Luttrell carves out a unique sound, filled with beautiful melodies and transcendent vocals. “Into Clouds” also demonstrates the artist’s range of musical production, with emotional tracks like “After All” and beat-thumping club classics like “Into Clouds”. Other highlights include lead single “Out of Me”, an ethereal “Layover”, and instant classic “Quiet Even Dark”. While varied in style and feeling, the songs on “Into Clouds” are unmistakably Luttrell’s signature sound – taking us on a ride we don’t want to get off of.
The album is a deeply-personal one for Luttrell that explores “doing your best to recognise and appreciate the beauty – both in the good times and the bad,” in his own words. Inspired by childhood influences like The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, and The Prodigy, Luttrell has crafted a profound album for fans to venture through.
“I think each song has a message, a vibe or a feeling that each and every one of us can relate to on some level. Some moments are flying high above it all, some are dreamy or whimsical, and some moments are more pensive, delicate or even vulnerable. I want listeners to make this album their own and attribute their personal experiences and feelings to the music.”
