Starting out as a drummer at the age of 16, the now 24 year-old South African producer Wax Beach became intrigued by producing more club-ready music after hearing Skrillex for the first time.

Since then he has been exploring and listening to a broad range of electronic music ranging from House to more bass heavy music and Hip Hop influenced genres like Trap and Future Bass.

Inspired by artists such as Porter Robinson, Madeon, Dillon Francis, Jack Ü, Cashmere Cat, Jai Wolf, Phoenix, Justice and M83, you can expect a diverse range of sounds coming from this young producer who tries to incorporate Rock and electronic elements in his productions.

My goals are continue to improve and develop my production skills, release quality material, build up a following and establish myself as a multi genre artist/producer.
– Wax Beach

Today he shows us his take on two of his favorite tracks of the moment.

First up is a remix of Diplo’s iconic track \’Revolution\’. Wax Beach takes a lighter approach with his remix. The slow burning reggae-style drop would make Major Lazer proud.

Up next is a remix of of Disclosure’s ‘Latch’. The gripping intro of this version pulls us into a future house extravaganza that works great with the original vocal work of Sam Smith.
