Off the back of a successful 2014 which saw the release of their hugely popular ‘Be Seeing You EP’, Thom and Nick better known as Variations are back once again with their third release on Dub Police. They have been hard at work in their Hertfordshire based studio as of late and the results are the extremely heavy ‘Big Belly EP’.

Teaming up with songwriter & lyricist Travis Kaye for the mighty ‘Big Belly’, the duo kick things off with a bang. A tearing baseline paired perfectly alongside Travis Kaye’s ferocious and energetic lyrics make for one of Variations finest productions to date and a track that is sure to grab the attention of any dance floor. ‘Have Some Death’ again takes no prisoners; luscious pads and chopped breaks set the pace in an unsuspecting intro before a fierce mid range and plodding beats come out of nowhere and slap you across the face – pure fire! The duo show their diversity with the excellent ‘Leaving The Lights’. Featured on The Others recent ‘My Style 004’ compilation, this deep roller effortlessly combines mature four to the floor rolling beats, minor chord stabs and trance-esq arpeggiators all topped with a haunting vocal reminiscent of vintage Breakage. Rounding the EP off is crowd favorite ‘Diesel Boi’; hints of Reggae and Trap influences but with a very firm Dubstep backbone this track is pure energy from start to finish.
