On Friday, L.A.\’s famous Shrine Auditorium hosted EDM duo The Chainsmokers for a sold out show. It wasn\’t just any show. Justin Bieber made a surprise appearance and performed a few of his tracks from new album Purpose including \”Where Are Ü Now?\” and \”Sorry.\”

The appearance was a little puzzling to fans that were expecting to see Justin on last Tuesday\’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Macy\’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, both of which he called off for unknown reasons.

After the performance, Justin took to Instagram to thank The Chainsmokers for letting him be a part of their show.

Thank you to the Chainsmokers, u guys put on a hell of a show and honoured to be a part of it
