Quality Goods Records releases the first single from Ian Munro’s brand new EP on May 10th. ‘Again, Again’ serves as a fantastic introduction to the forthcoming ‘Liminal,’ which arrives on May 31st.

Since emerging on to the bass scene some time ago, Munro continues to be regarded as one of the most diverse and forward-thinking producers in the scene. Artists such as Skrillex, Hardwell and Alison Wonderland have championed his work, and he was quickly picked up by UZ for much collaboration with Quality Goods.

He switched his signature sound up last year, showcasing the ‘Fever Dream’ single as a precursor to his next body of tunes. ‘Violence’ ft. Bijou Dream landed a spot on the bitbird compilation release, and he has played his own headline shows in Australia and New Zealand and huge festivals including the Rhythm & Vines.

The New Zealander sets himself from the crowd once more with this gripping track. Expansive, searching vocals carve out a path over its steadily developing backdrop of sound design. A deliciously deep, rolling beat brings a rich undercurrent to its sweeping melodies and refined trap touches – washed down with those warm low-frequency hums and warped twangs.

Ian Munro shared his thoughts on the single, saying: “Again, Again’ to me really hits this beautiful moment that sits right in between melancholy and hope. Never quite gravitating more towards either – but occupying both at the same time.”
