If you\’re yet to hear the wonderful new remix from Salvatore Ganacci, it\’s time you gave it a spin. Out now through the legendary Def Jam imprint, the Swedish producer has put a truly refreshing spin on Alesso\’s \”Heroes\” ft. Tove Lo. We caught up with Ganacci to chat a little bit about his musical style.

How would you describe your sound to someone who is yet to hear, and is this remix a fair representation of your sound as a whole?

Sick beats, crazy vocals and big drops mixed with whatever comes to my mind.

How did remixing \”Heroes\” come about?

I was contacted by Alesso\’s people, they asked if I had time to remix \”Heroes\”, they said it was urgent and needed to be finished in a couple of days. I said \”of course\”. I love the tune.

What has the reaction from fans been like so far?

Great reactions from the \”Ganachievers\” – people are really getting to know my sound. When you hear a Salvatore Ganacci track nowadays, you can hear it\’s me.

Has Alesso given you any feedback on your rework?

Yeah, he loves it and he co-arranged it with me.

Outside of electronic music, where do you take your musical influences?

Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Hip hop but I\’m a huge fan of rock music aswell.

Would you rather be behind the decks or in the studio?

In the studio daytime, behind the decks night time. I started out as a DJ though and I was slangin’ viagra back in the days.

Be sure to pick up \”Heroes\” (Salvatore Ganacci Remix) here.
