Eric Prydz Tops Reddit\’s DJ Rankings

With the announcement of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike\’s top ranking in the DJ Mag Top 100 poll, now more than ever their credibility has come under scrutiny. It\’s been widely believed that aggressive marketing and campaigning have damaged the integrity of ranking, and that they do not accurately reflect people\’s actual sentiments about the scene.

Several other outlets have weighed in on the matter, many even creating their own lists in protest. Now, in an unexpected turn of events, Reddit is the latest to have their say in the matter, and their newly generated list is arguably the best of the bunch.

Right from the get-go, the king of progressive house, Eric Prydz tops the list. While this in itself is a refreshing change of pace, tough critics will feel some of the entries to follow him are still reminiscent of DJ Mag\’s results. Nonetheless, Reddit\’s version of the story generally seems to more accurately reflect the current buzz of the EDM scene. A sample of roughly 2600 votes went into creating the list, and the full results of that poll are below:
