Grammy-nominated artist and Colorado producer Derek Vincet Smith, who goes by the stage name of Pretty Lights, released a special limited edition vinyl set of four unreleased tracks that were produced for his most recent album \”A Color Map of the Sun\” but did not make the album and four remixes of the tracks. With Pretty Lights being a big fan of record stores, the \”The Hidden Shades\” was released on April 19th in honor of Record Store Day in hopes of starting a yearly Pretty Lights tradition. As always, Derek kills it. The album as a whole is beautiful and haunting in all the right ways and is a proper reflection of Pretty Light\’s smooth and funky style.
