In no time, Mat Zo quickly became one of my favorite producers in the progressive house and trance genre. The massive collaborations with Arty and Porter Robinson were one thing; it was Zo\’s debuting album that got me hooked.

Damage Control, released in November of 2013 on Anjunabeats, explored a wide variety of genres. From the downtempo and modern trap, to the massive progressive house track EasyMat Zo created a masterpiece and showed the world that he could produce all kinds of genre.

After the success with Damage Control, it only got better for Zo. He smashed his Ultra Music Festival set and is now beginning a tour with Kill The Noise. Upon that, the two also collaborated for some music. Under this free release Mat Zo is putting out, you\’ll find that he used the hashtag #KillTheZo. Could this be their first real collab?

Let\’s hope so. Even if it isn\’t, Real Life is still a well-produced and enjoyable track. It\’s nice to see artists climb out of their comfort zone and produce different genres; it\’s clear that Mat Zo isn\’t afraid to experiment with new music.
