Huxley is a producer that has been making moves behind the scenes. In addition to his latest single \”stillLOVE\” being named one of Annie Mac\’s Hottest Records, he has remixed huge tracks like Gorgon City\’s \”Unmissable`,\” and Hundred Waters\’ \”Down From The Rafters\”.

Now, after his last label project with Jimmy Posters, \”Saints & Sonnets\” went belly-up, Huxley has decided to undertake a new solo effort by starting No Idea\’s Original. Here\’s what Huxley had to say about his new label:

\”It’s called No Idea’s Original because I kept getting asked for ‘concepts’ for things and found it exasperating. Everything has to have an \’original concept’ these days, or so people in the music industry will tell you, and it’s bollocks – not least because no idea is original these days. Just putting music out or doing parties because you want to and are passionate should be enough\”.

To further his point, the first release on No Idea\’s Original is a collaboration with J. Phlip, whose primary label of Dirtybird is not only known for its booty-shakin tunes, but its epic parties that take the form of quarterlies in San Francisco, BBQs across the country, and the newly founded Dirtybird Campout.

Huxley has posted the first track off the three track EP, \”What You Want\”, on Soundcloud and needless to say, these two producers make quite the team. Huxley\’s dark flavor that you can hear in all of his tracks plays off of J. Phlip\’s knack for creative rhythms in the best way possible.

The full EP, which will feature another original from Huxley and J. Phlip as well as a Vin Sol remix of \”What You Want\”, will be available digitally and on 180g vinyl December 4th.
