In preparation for his new album \”Money Sucks, Friends Rule,\” Dillon Francis has let the first single reach the surface– that is if you don\’t count \”Get Low,\” which was premiered six months ago and will appear on his LP. Titled \”When We Were Young,\” the track\’s essence is ultimately nostalgia, speaking of playing Pokemon, using a Skip-It, having AOL, and a Furbie. Well, at least that\’s what the 26-year old producer said about it. Francis teamed up with Sultan + Ned Shepard and The Chain Gang of 1974 for this track, and while it may lead some to be worried about a new direction of sound he\’s taking, the song is still fantastic. Nonetheless, we can expect backlash similar to the kind he got when he signed onto Columbia Records back in May.

Here\’s the good thing about that: Dillon DGAFOS.

There\’s also more good news! You can now pre-order his new album, expected to be out on October 28th, and receive \”When We Were Young\” and \”Get Low\” as instant downloads. And if you\’re invested, you can get the Ultimate Player\’s Bundle, which includes a deluxe version of \”Money Sucks, Friends Rule,\” a new t-shirt, and a compilation CD called \”Meow That\’s What I Call Dillon Francis! 69.\”

Leave it to Dillon.
