Colorado-based duo Big Gigantic are no strangers to fresh, groovy, and sax-y tunes.

With Dominic Lalli wielding the saxophone and Jeremy Salken on the drums, these two slay their live performances with ease; a blend of dubstep and mind-melting saxophone solos have built them a strong and growing fanbase. This next remix shows off the duo\’s creative twist to a genre slightly distant from the textbook Big G sound.

The duo have reworked Fadeda Deep House track from the likes of ZHU. The original mysteriously exploded and has racked nearly 5 and a half million plays on SoundCloud over the last 5 months.

Check out the original here:

The original is groovy yet somewhat simple; Big Gigantic filled in the gaps with their own production and energy. The duo kept the vocals in tact; the initial sound of the track feels more layered and Dom\’s saxophone fits in smoothly. Big G lovers will definitely appreciate the gorgeous sax solo in the middle of the track.

No matter what genre the duo take on, at least we know that they will always bring the funk. It\’s nice seeing artists exiting their comfort zones and keeping up with the always-evolving dance music sphere.

What do you think about Big Gigantic\’s remix? Personally, I enjoy the rework more than the original; let us know how you feel!

Although there is no release date, you can listen to the remix here:

You can also catch Big Gigantic live on their upcoming \”Touch the Sky\” tour. Their performances are nothing short of an amazing time. They headlined North Coast Music Festival last year; although there are no Chicago dates, they will be playing at the Canopy Club on October 12 in Urbana, Illinois. It\’ll be worth the drive.
