Since their beginning in 2007, Reinhard Rietsch and Markus Wagner from Camo & Krooked have quickly escalated to the top of the production pyramid, creating a name for themselves not only on the electronic music but also the gaming scene with their music featured in several high profile video games. The Austrian duo has been heralded by many as masters of production and have the ability to make all types of music from funk to dubstep to drum & bass. Now Camo & Krooked are back with a hauntingly beautiful remix of Lana Del Rey\’s latest summer single \”West Coast\”. Me being a huge Lana fan, I am always very critical of any remix of her originals but this one had my approval by the first few seconds. Keeping it minimal, the duo does not stifle the track with electronic beats but rather highlights the song with a soft synths, ambient bass, and extra guitar rifts.
