After nearly 3 years of silence in terms of original production, The Glitch Mob awoke.

\”Love Death Immortality\” took the world by storm back in February; the 10-track compilation touched upon all genres of dance music and beyond. The Glitch Mob outdid themselves and proved to the world that the silence was worth it.

After the record\’s successful release, the rebirth of the trio\’s live production began. They started off the year right by hitting up a couple festivals in the early season and tearing them down with their mind-blowing setup. Live drumming and synth-work along with insane visuals put The Glitch Mob back on the valued music map.

I was blessed to be able to see the trio do their thing at Electric Forest. The near hour-and-thirty minute performance had me grooving to the filthy glitch beats and dubstep breaks. A wad of different emotions hit me; I felt like I was in between a heavy metal concert and a beautiful trance set. Overall, it had me wanting more and that\’s a great thing. Luckily for us Chicagoans, The Glitch Mob has announced a fall tour with a definite stop at the greatest city in the world.

The Glitch Mob will take over Chicago on October 17th with heavy support.

First on the special guest list is San Francisco based trio The M Machine. Live vocals and looping along with dynamic visuals controlled in real time make this act a unique experience. They surely caught the attention of industry giant Skrillex as he signed their first major release on his OWSLA label; it was the label\’s third release ever back in 2011.

Second on duty this tour is Chrome Sparks, a project formed by Jeremy Malvin that has found stardom on the more creative side of the dance music spectrum. It\’s quite difficult to describe his sound; a touch of chillness along with some insane sampling and drum work make Chrome Sparks an ideal opener for The Glitch Mob. Malvin is accompanied by two other musicians for his live performances.

This lineup is not to be missed; a battle of three trios will take place at the Aragon Ballroom. Presale tickets go on sale tomorrow (July 25th, 2014) at 9:00 AM Chi-Town time.
