Ah, December. A magical time for family, giving, spirit, and year-end music countdowns.

Song-recognition app Shazam has published lists of their Top 10 Artists and Songs (both in the U.S. and Worldwide) searched for through the app in 2014. As the years go by, more and more electronic acts are making the top spots, with this year boasting some of the most sought-after in the world.

In the Worldwide Artists category, EDM dominated with Avicii and David Guetta taking the first two spots. Also in the top 10 are dance-fusion group Clean Bandit and Calvin Harris, giving electronic artists 4 in the top 10.

In the U.S. alone, only Disclosure at the #7 spot represents the electronic crowd, with most other spots going to pop acts like Katy Perry, Lorde, and Jason Derulo. Disclosure\’s \”Latch\” with Sam Smith was marked as the second most searched for song in the country, however, placing just below John Legend\’s \”All of Me\”.

Finally in the Worldwide Song category, we\’re proud to see Robin Schulz\’ radio edit of \”Prayer in C\”, as well as Mr. Probz\’ \”Waves\” make the top 10. Kiesza\’s \”Hideaway\” also snuck into the list at the #10 spot.

Shazam also included their own predictions for some of the hottest acts-to-be in 2015, including Oliver Heldens and Tchami.
