There goes the neighborhood. First it was Bass Center in late July; now in August we’re getting wind of another festival pissing off more neighbors. Imagine Music Festival which was held at the Atlanta Motor Speedway and was apparently was so loud that citizens in the neighboring county were up until the early hours of the morning.
“It’s just uncalled for, I don’t see why they need to have the music that loud,” a disgruntled victim stated. A local news station, 11 Alive, even called Imagine Music Festival “out of control.” Loud? Probably, but out of control is a bit of a shot in the dark.
The sounds of Zeds Dead, Excision, 12th Planet, Eoto, Liquid Stranger, and more traveled over 15 miles just to bang on the windows of the old folks in the surrounding counties; and the oldies weren’t having it. With all these complaints revolving around the noise of festivals one can only speculate that the festivals next year won’t be as loud…and that’s no fun.
Will the aggravated citizens get their peace and quiet that they so desperately seek or will the “hippies” triumph and continue to party out loud?
