Red Rocks Amphitheater, the iconic concert venue in Colorado, will soon have new limits on their sound levels due to constant noise complaints. Located in Denver and run by the local city and county governments, the beautiful Red Rocks has become an iconic venue for musicians of all genres. There has been a rise in noise complaints by the surrounding residents in the past few years, largely in part because of the popularity of EDM concerts at the theater.

Residents have specifically cited electronic music in their complaints; some suggested EDM concerts be banned. At the beginning of 2014, Denver required concerts to end earlier and to lower their sound and bass levels. However, this solution was not enough.

The sound limitations will now be applicable all day, not just at later hours. Even though there was a consensus that 2014 was a step in the right direction regarding sound levels, the threshold will be even lower in 2015.

Musicians will have no choice but to listen to the new rules; the city of Denver will most likely ban any artist that violates the regulation.
