Frankie Knuckles, known as the \”Godfather of Chicago house music\” has passed away unexpectedly in his home this Monday. Confirmed by many close friends of Frankie, this is a very sad day for many house music fans. Frankie moved to Chicago in the 70\’s where he became a resident Dj at a club called Warehouse, his music was so popular, people would go searching for his music at local record stores to find what he spun at Warehouse.
In 1983 Frankie opened his own club called Power Plant. Frankie was also a producer on such famous songs as James Power\’s \”Your Love\” and \”Baby Wants to Ride.\” Frankie Knuckles was a true icon what he spun eventually turned into its own genre, as producers used drum machines to produce the  popular dance styles.Frankie Knuckles would also start to create his own edits, remaking disco tracks.  Knuckles was also a producer on such famous songs as James Power\’s \”Your Love\” and \”Baby Wants to Ride.\” Check out the tracks below.
