Las Vegas, Nevada is no stranger to music festivals. Home to various festivals such as Electric Daisy Carnival, iHeartRadio, and Life Is Beautiful – the city is flooded with locals and tourists alike.

Life Is Beautiful is a three-day festival held in downtown Las Vegas. With an abundance of music, art, cuisine, and tens of thousands of attendees, the festival encompasses 18 city blocks of downtown.

Although the Life Is Beautiful organizers say they sent a letter to each resident in downtown Las Vegas describing bus routes, shuttle pickup times, and road closures, the residents question why a music festival would be held in a residential area. Due to road closures, residents deem the festival as a major inconvenience because it prevents individuals from fulfilling the duties of their job and ability to run daily errands. A local named Dudley expressed that he waited over an hour for a shuttle that never showed up and is “upset because I\’m a caregiver and I take care of these people and I can\’t do anything.”

Dudley suggests that the organizers should consider creating “some kind of a special walkway or something that the residents can get to the markets and get what we need.”
