Love it or hate it, DJ Mags poll of the top DJ is a pretty big deal. With Hardwell taking the number one position last year, there have been whispers circulating that the young Martin Garrix will be taking over for this this years top DJ! With results coming October 18th only time will tell who will have the honor of taking the position. In a recent interview with In The Mix, Laidback Luke speaks very highly about Garrix and the success that has followed him throughout this year.
“Everybody has been whispering that it’s going to be Martin Garrix this year,” Luke said. “And you know what, I really like Martin, he’s a very down-to-earth guy that’s just into it to make music and travel the world.” Luke thinks the dance music world needs more stars like Garrix. “He’s had this insane year and he’s still keeping up. I know that it’s tough going from a couple of local shows to the whole world circuit. Props to him and I hope he makes it.”
With constant bangers such as \’Animals\’, \’Proxy\’, and his newest release with MOTi \’Virus\’. Garrix has been devouring the festivals scene and now we must wait and see if his hard work has paid off!
