Today, Randall\’s Island in New York will once again be traversed by North Eastern festival goers as the fifth installment of Governor\’s Ball Music Festival comes to a close.

Since its inception in 2011, Governor\’s Ball has steadily gained popularity, growing from a single day event into a massive three day festival, with a roster of top notch artists. In addition to notable headliners like Drake and The Black Keys, GB managed to grab a coveted performance by the one and only Joel Zimmerman, aka Deadmau5, who is only scheduled to perform in the US four more times between now and August, (two of those being in Vegas to fulfill his residency).

If you are one of the millions who follow Zimmerman on all social media accounts in the hopes of stumbling upon his next Twitter rant, you may have noticed that he has basically been overhauling his whole life over the past few months. He bought a new house in the woods, a new Mclaren, his new studio is still being constructed, and he\’s designed a completely new stage for his scattered live shows this summer, which was revealed last night at Governor\’s Ball.

Take a look at the photos below! You\’ll notice a departure from the cube setup that Zimmerman has donned for the past few years and replaced it with a skeletal sphere. According to Beatport, there were some technical issues with the show, but Zimmerman tweeted that the show was \”a great time\” anyway.
