Although the song came out in September, Avicii has finally dropped the long-awaited music video for his single, \”The Nights\”. The video is actually one with an interesting story, and follows the journey of EDM photographer Rory Kramer – who left his full-time job to fulfill his dream of traveling the world and documenting it. Kramer uploaded tons of footage to YouTube, and recently came into contact with the guy who did vocals forĀ Avicii\’s track – so they ended up using some of his coolest GoPro shots, as well as new shots, and it makes up the entire video. It\’s pretty interesting seeing Kramer\’s crazy adventures, as well as his relationship with his father, and it fits perfectly with the euphoric vibe of the song. The video and the song have a fantastic meaning behind them so you can read Kramer\’s short story on the video, as well as watch it below.

5 years ago, my Father drove me every mile from Indiana to California so I could chase dreams. I quickly became consumed by a full time job that gave me a steady paycheck and health insurance for 4 long years…but at the end of the day, the job wasn\’t ME. During these 4 years, everyday after work I would make videos and try going on as many adventures in my free time as I could. When I turned 30, I decided to quit my job and finally chase those dreams. I got really lucky to work with groups like KREWELLA, 3LAU , Martin Garrix but this guy name Nicholas \”RAS\” Furlong found my YouTube videos about a year ago and was waiting to reach out until he had something for me to work on. About 2 months ago he approached me via email asking if I would share my story for the new AVICII music video \”The Nights\” that he is singing on. This was something I had always dreamed of. Today that dream became real. I got to share my life thru an amazing song showing my life with my family and friends.

Believe in yourself and work hard. Trust me, Im 30 years old and started making videos when I was 15…do the math, thats half my life it took before I turned it into a career. Don\’t get discourage from all the long hard lonely days and countless pieces of work that no one sees. I am very blessed to have the life I have and that people found my YouTube videos and connected with them.
