Rapper XXXTentacion was shot and killed today in Broward County, Florida, in an apparent armed robbery.
Broward Sheriff’s Office is stating that XXX, real name Jahseh Onfroy, was reportedly leaving a motorcycle shop when two men drove up to him and shot multiple times. Onfroy was said to have ‘no pulse‘ when witnesses ran up after the shooting to check up on him, and was later pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital.
XXXTentacion began his musical career in 2013, but it wasn’t until “Look at Me“, which was released in 2015, that XXX’s career catapulted. Since then, he has released countless singles, having worked with Diplo and Ronny J, as well as two full-length albums with a third reportedly in the works.
XXXTentacion has also been in the news recently regarding his history with aggravated battery of his pregnant ex-girlfriend, false imprisonment, and witness tampering.
He was twenty years old.
