Ultra Music Festival has confirmed and announced the age restriction through a Facebook post that was published a few hours ago. A statement, accompanied by an image of a flier promoting next year\’s festival, outlines the concerns that UMF\’s organizers have regarding the matter of safety.

It was explained that \”this decision has been made to reinforce and promote the safety of all Ultra Music Festival fans and to ensure the overall enjoyment of all future attendees.\”

And if you\’re under 18 years of age, no worries. You\’ll still be able to stream the festival live.

Rumors are surfacing about something that will inevitably cause some noise. Ultra Music Festival will allegedly be setting an 18+ age limit on its annual event in 2015. Their reasoning?

\”The safety and security of our attendees, artists/performers, and personnel are our utmost priority and concern\” was stated on a UMF 2015 flier that was handed out during Electric Zoo this weekend in New York City. Granted, UMF has not made an official statement, but I wouldn\’t hold my breath. Age restrictions are slowly becoming a trend, and there shouldn\’t be too much surprise if UMF follows suit.
